The End of an Era
Many of my good friends, and some I would consider family, were found on this board. Special thanks to Bob for the kind words; the feeling is mutual.
===============================================================
The End of an Era - MMIPowertraining is now closed. MMI was started as a spin off of our original home, AF, back in 2002. Many of us have been together since our first original stomping ground, the old GotFina board, years ago. Back in 1999, in my quest for gaining strength and size, I ran into a online personality and began reading everything he would type. His name back then was Silverback or Sandblaster, as many knew him. In the MMI era, he simply went by SB. I began taking his advice, sharing it with my training partner Lb4Lb, and we both continued to reap the results from it for many years. I have made many good friends from my years on the boards. Some of which I have met in person. I would like to list some people who are and were important to me - not only in helping motivate me to train, but made MMI a fun place for us all. In no particular order - Smack, Rafter, NateDawg, Megalift, Big Matt, Bulldog, Iceman1800, 92Stang, Hokie, Lance, Tommy, Getnlarg, Ubi, Mab904, hulagn1971, Beelzebub, FT,Flad, Havoc, Fishbonz, Pheedno, Thrower74 and his brother PowerPosition, Kabuki and PH48 - the two most hardcore guys I have met online. CaptAmera9, who trained with lb4lb and I for a couple years. Lb4Lb - the one person who kept me motivated for years on end to keep up in the gym. There are many others, and if I have forgotten you, I am sorry. I also want to thank Ben and John - the former owners of PowerNutrition, and 2 of the best people you can ever meet. It's been fun. It's been real. But most of all, it's been a quest for us all to get that certain edge - the edge that only people who live, eat, and sleep training would ever understand anything about. Best wishes to all of you. Many of us are already connected on Facebook - so if you aren't, find us. Special Thanks to my friend, Scott, SB, or whatever you remember him by. Your influence on my life extended far beyond that of the gym - you've helped me be a better man, father, and person. God speed, and HEAVY LIFTING! - G-S
